A total of 1100 participants of the Lc65+ cohort as well as 300 people among health professionals and actors of the “Aging and Health” politics of the canton of Vaud met on November 5, 2013 to attend the conference “Better understanding of the age-related frailty” held at Beaulieu Theatre in Lausanne.
The conference was introduced by Pierre-Yves Maillard, President of the State Council, and presented by Prof Brigitte Santos-Eggimann. It was an opportunity to present Lc65+ study results on the cohort health and socioeconomic status, memory and mobility outcomes as well as quality of life and treatments linked to aging. Results were also commented by a panel of personalities with respect to the “Aging and Health” politics and the different ongoing activities promoted by the canton of Vaud.
This event celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Lc65+ cohort. A special thanks goes to all participants for their precious contribution to this study, hoping their cooperation will last longer and longer.
