Download the data dictionary

An MS Excel® file provides an index of the variables recorded in the study. It contains information on the data collected, as well as the organizational rules for the Lc65+ database (file naming, variable naming, definition of participation status, information on initial sampling, instructions for extraction requests, etc.). To consult this dictionary of variables, click on the button above. The file is read-only (no password required).

The following table lists the files available for each year of the study and gives access to the content of the questionnaires from which they were generated. In these documents, each question is accompanied by its corresponding variable name in the Lc65+ database.

To facilitate and standardize the production of certain scores, the dictionary of variables also includes derived variables whose names begin with the prefix "d_", integrated into the Lc65+ database, and whose construction algorithm can be downloaded here.
